Registration assistance through the Family Coordinators
The National Coordinators are the liaison between the Local Organizing Committee and the families. All information related to Families Program will be sent to them by email so they can distribute it to the families.
Access to preferential rates in official hotels
Currently, the Families Program offers five official hotels in Abu Dhabi. Unfortunately, we were unable to provide Official Families Hotels in Dubai therefore families who wish to stay in Dubai will have to arrange their own accommodation bookings. For transportation details in Dubai kindly refer to the transportation section on the website.

Information services at arrivals and departures at Official Airports (AUH in Abu Dhabi and DXB in Dubai)
Once landed in UAE, Families will find an info desk in the Terminal 3 Arrival hall in Abu Dhabi airport and an info desk in the Terminal 1,2 and 3 Arrival hall in Dubai airport. Those info desks will assist families directing them to taxi and Careem services.

Families Welcome Centre to collect credentials and welcome packs
The Families Program offers two Welcome Centers, one located in Abu Dhabi in ADNEC and one located in Dubai in Hamdan Sports Complex.
The Welcome Center should be your first stop before going to any venue! There, you will be able to collect your Family Welcome Pack.
The Family Welcome Packs contains: bag, credential, one opening and closing ceremony ticket, promotional gifts and a Families Reception invitation.
Families of Athletes competing in Dubai should collect their Welcome Pack from the Dubai Family Welcome Center. Please inform us ahead of March 1 if you want to collect your Welcome Pack from Abu Dhabi.
Families of athletes competing in Abu Dhabi should collect their Welcome Pack from the Abu Dhabi Welcome Center.
We highly advise families to pick their Welcome Packs between March 11 and 13 from 9am to 8pm. On the 14th of March the Families Welcome Center will operate only from 9am to 2pm.
Your credential is the only form of identification you can use to enter the Venue and the spaces you will be volunteering in during the Special Olympics. It is the official identification for the Games. It displays information on the entitlements and zone access allowed to everyone attending the Games. All participants will receive different entitlements.

Access to inter-venue transportation system
Registered and approved family members staying in Abu Dhabi will have access to Inter-venue shuttles services from the family’s official hotels and Abu Dhabi Main Bus Station to the competition venues during competitions hours.
Registered and approved families staying in Dubai, an update will be sent at a later stage regarding the location of the shuttle services.
ABU DHABI & DUBAI
Families in Abu Dhabi and Dubai will have access to dedicated shuttles to Opening and Closing Ceremony and Families Reception.
Inter-City shuttle will be offered from ADNEC, in Abu Dhabi, directly to Hamdan Sports Complex, in Dubai and vice-versa.
Additional transportation options
Family members will be able to book a Careem ride using a promocode provided by the families Program.

Access to competition venues lounges
All the competition venues will have an Honored Guests and Families Lounge where refreshments and snacks will be available for registered family members.
Dedicated seating at competition venues
The Families Program credential gives access to dedicated Families and Honored Guests seating areas at competition venues.
Each registered and approved family member will receive one Opening and one Closing ceremony ticket as well as a Families Reception Invitation.
Etisalat SIM cards will be available for families, to receive one kindly note the following:

Available Collection dates: 1st to 21st March, 24/7
Process ( How to collect it):
If you are a registered and approved family member, you are eligible to receive free visitor line (Sim card) from Etisalat. Please refer to this link (attachment ending in ‘V12’).
Eligible recipients ( Families) need to print the email sent to them through the family coordinators and the attachment, then head to any of the mentioned locations below, making sure to have their passport and UAE visa at hand:

- Sharjah Airport at Duty Free
- Sharjah Airport Air Arabia
- Dubai Duty Free Terminal 1,2,3
- WH Smith at Abu Dhabi Airport
ETISALAT WILL NOT HAVE DESKS AT THE WELCOME CENTERS_ PLEASE IGNORE THE MESSAGE SENT EARLIER IN THIS REGARD.

Three days – Three Theme Parks
All approved Family Members will have access to an amazing deal on a three day and three park passes. Which means each family member can visit any three parks listed below over the course of three days.

The normal cost of this pack would be AED535 however approved family members will pay only AED 225. Also, each family member can invite up to three guests who would have access to the same price.
In order to benefit from this amazing offer, family members should book it beforehand. The booking period is from the 20th January to the 14th March. The three-park entitlement should be used from the 1st March to until the 31st March 2019
