Special Olympics Young Athletes is a sport and play program for children with and without intellectual disabilities, ages two to seven years old. Young Athletes introduces fundamental sports skills, like running, kicking and throwing.
Young Athletes at IX MENA Games
Young Athletes offers families, teachers, caregivers and people from the community the chance to share the joy of sports with all children. The program encourages a culture of healthy living and regular exercise among youngster with intellectual difficulties, their families and communities. Children of all abilities take part, and they all benefit. 50 young athletes will demonstrate with the support of their family members, coach and youth volunteers during World Games 2019.
