Global Youth Leadership Summit

The Special Olympics Global Youth Leadership Summit brings together youth leaders for inclusion from around the world alongside the Special Olympics World Games. In March 2019, youth leaders with and without intellectual disability will convene in Abu Dhabi, UAE to represent the global Special Olympics movement and launch its next 50 years as a #UnifiedGeneration.

The inaugural Special Olympics Global Youth Leadership Summit was held in conjunction with the 2001 Special Olympics World Winter Games in Anchorage, Alaska. From 32 youth leaders and mentors to now over 200, the Global Youth Leadership Summit has carried out a successful model in empowering youth to become inclusion innovators in countries all over the world.
